HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY
Whuddafuck.
Sonic CD was incredible! Awesome music. The bosses you describe as 'easy' all had a gimmick to make them hard to hit; you had to break off the barrier or pop the surrounding bubbles, or find a pattern in his movement in order to not to get hit. And the time travelling is fun. You get to see a world being captured in the past, a world about 3/4 captured in the present and either a completely dystopian or Utopian future where either the takeover is complete or Robotnik has been destroyed.
As for FLICKY... That's just outright mean to compare such a... I don't wanna say bad; it had its own kind of charm, but it's definitely no Sonic.
And in a remake of Sonic CD, there would be little-to-no load times. The CD drive is no longer a bulky PoS add-on for the system, and it's been drastically improved in the 10 years since CD's released.

well, I played it on Gems Collection. Yes, the music was great the designs were great, and yes, I'll admit that the time traveling idea wasn't too bad, it was just too much. They simply tried too hard on Sonic CD. It just doesn't do the job that Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles do for entertainment and gaming. CD simply tried too hard. That's why it wasn't that good.

Your arguments are valid but I still strongly disagree.

I always thought Sonic was better with the extended cast. It gave the sense of a more complex storyline and a bigger world. Before that, it was just Sonic saving woodland critters.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. I'm all for new characters, but... Well, I lied. I hate new characters. That's why I love the idea of a game getting back to basics with just Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Robotnik.

But for the rest of us, there's ANOTHER new game coming out, Sonic Colors, which is like a combination of the Day stages of Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Adventure 2. Gameplay.

Sonic Colors aye? I'll have to check that out. I've seen impressive footage of the SU day stages, and that alone sells me on the idea.
