NEW GAME, Y'all!

We've all been told before that SonicTeam was gonna go back to Sonic's roots
StH for the Wii did NOT do that
We got a boatload of new characters and a storyline that isn't even canon cuz it wasn't supposed to happen!

And Blaze's character was smashed to pieces - how could she NOT remember Sonic after fighting with him TWICE? GRAGH.

But now, lucky for us, it seems they actually ARE going back to Sonic's roots.

NEW GAME

That's right, a game that's supposed to be the ORIGINAL 1991 Sonic the Hedghog with updated graphics!
Characters like Tails and Knuckles haven't been eliminated yet, but Amy, Charmy, Vector, Shadow, Rouge, Espio, Cream, etc. have all been a definite no!
FINALLY
THIS is what I'm talkin' about!

Though if those characters appeared in a two+ player format similar to Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, I wouldn't mind it at all!

Thoughts? Questions? Ready to die from excitement?

It's supposed to come out this summer. It's going for wiiware, ps3 download and xbox 360 *gag cough* download.

no, no I dont. but yeah, it'd be nice to come out for pc (almost everything on the xbox ends up there anyways)

Well yeah; the Xbox 360 runs a special version of Windows, and as a result, it's not that hard to reprogram a Windows Xbox game to play on Windows Vista, 7, or XP

pc has much better controls. and the games usually get more on the pc *cough Assassin's Creed II cough*

And a new trailer with about 3 seconds of gameplay. BUT IT LOOKS AMAZING.
Also it's been revealed that there are 3 characters total: Sonic... But I wonder who the other two are?

Well, since it's continuing from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, I'm gonna guess Tails and Knuckles. But that's just a guess. In fact it's such a guess that I'm probably wrong...

Seriously though, that's awesome that it's a direct sequel. And the original trio of Sonic Tails and Knuckles
Although I gotta admit, seeing Shadow in a 2D game might not be so bad.
Nevertheless, I don't really care about him. The original 3 characters

After this they need to make a Sonic CD 2.
Hell yeah, a remake of Sonic CD with Sonic 4's graphics and remixed music from the original. Oh, God, I'd pay a hundred bucks for that.

But Sonic CD wasn't all that good. It actually kind of sucked with the whole time traveling thing 50 times a level, the extra loading time because of the time traveling, the OVERLY easy bosses that took like...I think it was 4 hits. and beating metal sonic wasn't hard at all! it was the easiest part of the game! Honestly, I probably enjoy FLICKY over sonic cd...that might be a bit much...but yeah, Sonic CD's low on the charts for me...very low.
