Why am I so heavily targeted by the yaoi crowd?
Not that I'm complaining seeing as I'm supposed to be in-discriminant of sexuality on this thread. It's usually *male*xTails... or a LOT of it is. Can anyone give me any reasons?
Is it the tails?
Is it my ears?
It's nice to be popular but it can get difficult when reading about what other people think you do in bed with the guys you hang out with...
Or am I the only one to make this observation?

My guess is, it's simply because you're the cute, corruptable character. Everyone knows if there's one thing this fandom loves to do, it's corrupt the young'uns. Both the ones in-universe and the little fanfic enthusiasts.

In the Sonic fandom shipping is like a rite of passage for the fanfic writers.

Everyone is shipped with everyone, no exceptions. Rule 34 covers all.

Going back to the main topic here. SonTails... If the fanfic is just a fluff-fic, is it weird that I don't mind this pairing? Some may even say I find it cute... <.<

It's simple. Tails you have a light voice and follow Sonic around like a puppy. So people assume you are gay. Women in particular are awful in what they do to you. They like yaoi and they think you're adorable so they simply take 2 and 2 and make 5.

Probably doesn't help that there are occasions when people turn you into a girl in order to justify the pairing.

You know, you'll probably kill me for saying this, but I like Sonic/FemTails. Can't quite explain why. I don't quite want to call you a girl, but, uh, I'd say you fit the role better. 'Sides, the world needs more female techies. ^^

If tails was born a girl it would have been awesome. I dont doubt that. But if arnold schwartzeneger (sp?) was born a sexy action woman instead of man it would have been awesome too.

But changing him to make him a girl is a little desperate I think.
