Cross raised an eyebrow. "Sounds like you're in love with her, or something."

"Sounds like a good plan." Kane walked over to the table, sipping the cup of tea in his hand. "I will go with the underground team. I 'ave great skill under the cover of darkness."

Nova nodded. "Cross and I'll spearhead the aerial unit. We'll make the noise, so you guys can sneak in."

He chuckled, "Don't be ridiculous, Cross. No matter how smart, she still is a computer."

"I got underground duty, then." Sunny grinned. "Fuck yeah."

Aurélie nodded. "Crescent should go with Nova and Cross, then. It will be simpler to offer a 'trade' if such a thing comes up. We should not bury the 'ouse, either. We should sneak in and take out 'ooever is not sent to deal with them."

Sunny nodded. "Yeah, should be easy enough."

"Do not get cocky," she warned and Sunny just grinned wider. "Though I suppose I am forgetting 'oo I am talking to."

He chuckled. "I'm sure you've got R&D working on a way to break down that barrier."

"That's right," Nova said with a grin. "There's only two people that could match me in a test of endurance. That's Cross and Sunny."

"Just in case," Mani said. "I'll tag along with the underground unit; Make sure Sunny doesn't get in a tight spot again."

"Guess that leaves me with the aerial unit," Sol said. "That's fine, since I'm a beast at long-range."

"Mm... You're all braggarts. It's amusing."

Trip smiled, snuggling in Cross's lap. They should be able to get to his mom easily.

"I doubt it's possible to do so." He stated with a shrug.

"Would you go for it, if it was?" Cross asked, his expression turning serious.

"Nah," Sol said. "We just know where are strengths are, and we're optimistic, especially in our element."

"That we are," Nova said, smiling. "So, I guess Elesis is gonna stay behind, and watch over the kids."

He chuckled, "That's for me to know and you to never find out, Cross."

"You're beyond secretive, you know that, right?" Katherine had reapeared, calmer now.

"Can't call it a secret if everyone knows about it, can you?"

"True."

Trip looked between the two groups, curious. He knew all would be well with his mom because Cross had promised he'd save her, but what was going on with the human and the hologram lady...?

Sunny leaned back. "So when do we leave?"

Cross smiled, then turned back to the group. "I say we leave as soon as possible, preferably within the next three hours."

"Yeah," Nova agreed. "I say we get in there quick, pound their asses in, and get the hell outta dodge."

"Sounds good," Mani said. "I've already restocked my supplies, so I'm ready anytime."

"My rifle's all set for action," Sol said, grinning.

"I'm ready for a good brawl, anytime!" Nova said, fist tightening confidently.

"I'll wake Crescent," Kane said. "Once she's up, we'll be ready shortly after."

"There's still some things I need to take care of," Cross said. "Once I'm done with that, we'll be ready."

Damien smirked, "I'll get my armor."

Katherine shook her head, sighing. "I'll get the fly-boys ready..."

Aurélie smiled. "We'll 'ave to locate Elesis and leave the children with 'er." She smiled down at Aurora. "Ma fille... 'Opefully they will be'ave."

"Last I saw her," Cross said. "she was heading back to her room, Yue in tow. And Damien," he turned to the human. "I think it's time your arsenal got an upgrade."

"What do you mean? You haven't even seen our arsenal, remember? Only SS members are allowed in the armory."

Trip looked up, curious.

"I'm going based on what I saw from back at my place. I think I can improve on your shield tech, as well as that energy blade." He smirked. "How's about having the blade fused with a energy gun, like mine is set up?"

Damien chuckled, "Come with me, Cross. If anyone's armory needs upgrading by going by looks alone, it's yours." He walked off.

Trip didn't want him to go... Not yet. But he didn't know how to ask if he could go... He wasn't even sure if he wanted to go with Cross. Whatever an armory was, it sounded scary...

Sunny grinned at the kit. "Hey, squirt, let's go find Elesis."

He looked up and nodded. Sunny was the second person the kit had ever completely trusted. If he couldn't go with Cross, she was better than just second choice.

Cross grinned, stood. "Let's see how much upgrading we can do for each other." He turned back to Trip. "You take care of yourself, alright? I'll see you later."

"Before you leave?"

"Yeah, before we leave."

He nodded. "'Kay..."

Sunny came around the table and nabbed him. "All right; let's hurry up and get ready and shit. The sooner we got Star back, the happier I'll be."

Trip smiled softly.

Damien smirked and led Cross to a nearby elevator. Once the doors closed, they were whisked away towards the dephts of the base, in a matter of minutes, the elevator stopped and they walked through several armed checkpoints and finnally arrived at the base's armoury. Wall-to-wall guns on mechanized rotating racks like those seen in the live-action vids. Everything from the standard handgun to the portable plasma cannons were there.

"Welcome to the armory. The vehicle warehouse is about three doors down." He chuckled.

Cross smiled at the array in front of him. "Not bad. Try to compensate for my comparatively smaller stature, okay?"

He handed him a feul rod gun. "If grunts can handle this, so can you. It's an alien rocket launcher that fires spent feul rods that explode in a small, but powerful, ball of plasma."
