"Baudoin?" Yue repeated. "Y'mean one of those groups of bad guys, that's after Uncle Nova and the others?"

Aurore nodded again, frowning slightly. "Lord Baudoin 'imself is the worst. I dread the thought of the many things 'e tried to do to me, on many occasion..."

Trip frowned, reaching for Yue's hand instinctively. "I... It's good you're away, then."

Yue blushed slightly, as her hand was entangled with Trip's. "...Yeah. Wait, you said 'almost.' If the guy's so bad, how'd you manage to avoid him?"

Tears seemed to start welling in Aurore's eyes, when Kane stepped in, placing a comforting hand over hers. "Per'aps we can discuss that, another time."

Star slid into the seat beside him, sitting beside them. "Hi," she greeted.

As soon as she went, he pulled out of her, releasing on a groan.

"Mm... Just teasing Cross in front of his friends." She grinned. "Good morning, Aurore. How ya feeling?"

She relaxed against him, blowing out a breath. "Christ..."

The collie wiped a tear away, smiled. "Fine, thank you. Are these children in your care?"

He sighed heavily. "Okay... Now I'm awake."

"Well, this one's my son. Yue here belongs to Sol and Mani." She smiled. "Prepare to be bombarded by names."

"Yeah..." She licked his neck. "I noticed."

She chuckled. "Kane 'as done well to brief me. If I remember correctly, Sol is best friends with Cross, your beau, and is set to be 'is Best Man in your marriage."

He chuckled. "Damn, girl. Y'know how to wear a man out. Had to really hold out on blowin' too soon."

The hedgecat purred, looking at the ring on her finger. "Mmhm."

She smirked. "Shit, the fact that you did's pretty impressive."

She looked at the ring on Star's finger, smiled. "What an impressive ring. When was the engagement?"

"You're shittin' me. Most of 'em can't keep up?"

"Last night," she murmured. "Finally."

She snickered, stretching. "Hell, usually I can last longer myself."

She smiled. "It sounds like you 'ave been waiting for a long time." She looked down at the ring on her own finger, a gold band with a ruby that seemed to shine like a sunrise. "Though I was proposed to years ago, I 'ave been waiting for a long time, myself."

He smirked, leaned back on his elbows. "Good to know I did my fair bit of damage."

"You and Kane?!"

She smirked. "Could be that I was just horny."

"Wow! Awesome!" Yue grinned. "Congrats to you two!"

"Merci," Kane said, smiling warmly. "As she said, we would 'ave been together years ago, but when Lord Baudoin interfered, we were torn away from each other. It was either that, or death to both of us."

"Yeah, I'll give ya that. I'm pretty much at my peak in the morning, myself."

Aurélie took a seat, frowning slightly. "Kane, you should 'ave told us sooner. Félicitations, 'owever. I wish you both the best."

Star smiled. "Same."

She licked his neck again. "We'll have to try again sometime. See how long ya last."

"Merci. Et désolé. I feared for 'er safety, and it made me blind."

"If love is blind," Aurore said, bringing his head to face hers. "Then I would 'ave it no other way." She then pressed their lips together.

Yue blushed, grinning. "Kawaii! Love must be so amazing!"

He grinned. "Lookin' forward to it. You better be in top form, too, ya hear?"

Trip blushed, looking down at his plate. "I think it has to be."

Star smiled, scratching him behind the ear. "Agreed."

She sneered. "Duh. So I'm starving."

The girl smiled, looked over at Trip with a blush. "Growing up is gonna be fun."

"Same. Fuckin' like we did can work up an appetite."

His own blush deepened and he could do little more than stutter. Star laughed, scratching his ear fondly. "So, Aurore, are you gonna hand around with me, head off to Europe with Aurélie and Nova, or go into space with Cross?"

"Mm... It is a lot of options. Staying 'ere would be safest."

"Yeah..." She stretched, rubbed her body against his. "I'm gonna grab a shower first. Wanna join?"

"Per'aps," Aurore said, a hand going to her chest, and the scar hidden by her shirt. "But safety 'as never truly been a concern to people like us."

"Lord Baudoin can try," Kane said. "But 'e will never lay a 'and on 'er. Not as long as I am by 'er side."

"Sounds like a yes, to me," Nova said, settling in a seat next to Aurélie. "Good to have ya aboard, Aurore. And congrats to both of ya."

He smirked. "That an offer for round two? Then yeah."

Star smiled. "Well, good luck."

Nipping his ear, she rose. "Good answer."

Kane nodded. "And you, too." He looked at Star's ring, the craftsmanship being familiar. "Star, who crafted that ring?"

"Didn't know there was another." He followed, tongue lapping at her neck.

"Sol, apparently."

She laughed, turning the water on hot in the shower.

"Sol... His last name escapes me..."

"It's Kusano," The hedgecat answered, he and Mani taking a seat at the bench, followed by Cross, who took a seat by Star. "Sol Kusano's the name, sniping's the game."

"Kusano." The wolf nodded. "Just as I thought."
