Sol stared at the blade in the dog's hand. It seemed to gleam in his eyes. Was it really that powerful? Could that blade really hold his true legacy?...

"Sol, are you okay?" With Mani's question, the hedgecat pulled out of his gaze, blinked.

"Uh, yeah..."

She nuzzled him. "That's not true. Auntie Star does. Uncle Cross does... I do."

He grunted against the teeth, but grinned. He went back to his normal pounding, throwing in the occasional hard thrust.

Aurélie nodded, eyes still on the blade. "Sol, all things considered this rightfully belongs to you."

He smiled slightly. "Yeah... Your mom and dad know you. And your family's what matters, right? If nobody else sees who you are, it's okay. 'Cause you have them."

She moaned, clutching his shoulders. He was a hell of a lot better than she'd expected him to be...

Sol shook his head. "By birthright, maybe. But I think it belongs with the person who truly earned it."

Cross smiled. "Noble, Sol."

"But stupid," Nova added. "One of the greatest weapons known is handed to you on a silver platter, and you shove it away."

"A blade is a blade is a blade," Sol said dismissively. "I could care less about the power or the legacy. I vowed to earn my keep on my every gain; I'm not about to forsake it all, just for something that belonged to someone I didn't even know existed, until now."

She smiled weakly. "Yeah, that's true... But it'd still be nice to be known by somebody else."

His moaning picked up, his thrusting becoming heavier by the second. He had to admit, she sure knew how to keep pace...

Aurélie nodded, smiling. "I understand your reasoning," she mused and passed the blade back to Kane.

He nodded, sighing. "Yeah..."

She kept her hips moving, panting.

"Besides, knives aren't my thing. It'd just be for show, anyway."

"Do not be so sure," Kane said, the blade disappearing.

"Oh, shit..." He added another hard thrust into her.

"You have Laroche blood." The dog shrugged. "Diluted, but it is there."

She managed a breathless laugh, nibbling on him.

"Yeah..." He casually stirred the food on his plate.

She shrugged, smiled at the kit. "Oh, well. At least I have you."

He gripped tighter at her hips. She'd better be close...

He nodded, kissed her cheek. "Yeah."

Star smiled at the two of them, amused.

"Christ... Briggs, you... you really know how ta... hold out."

The hedgehog blushed. When she saw Star looking at them, it deepened. "I-It's not like that!"

Cross laughed. "Don't worry. We'll take your word for it."

"So... do you." He moaned, pushing deep into her.

"For now."

"Mooom." Trip blushed, pressing his face into Yue's hair to hide it.

"Not for... much... longer," she managed, eyes closing tightly.

"We're just kids!" Yue defended.

"Yeah," Nova said. "And you two've been inseparable, since we got here, when before all this, ya'll probably wouldn't have bothered with each other."

"You don't know that!"

"Me... neither." He clenched his teeth, holding back with all his might.

Trip blushed and Star let out a laugh. "I think they're adorable together."

"She... she's my friend," he murmured.

"Oh, I know, sweetie." The hedgecat smiled. "That doesn't mean you two aren't cute."

She finally let go, crying out his name.

"For the last time, I don't do cute!" Yue said, blushing.

"Until the next time," Sol mused. "...Cutie."

At that moment, he released on a groan, pulling out just in time.

The kit smiled slightly.

She dropped her head onto his shoulder, panting. "Christ, Briggs..."

"Just tell me one thing," the hedgecat went on. "Why do you tolerate it from Trip?"

She blushed. "Um, well I..."

He sighed heavily, managed a smirk. "...Still not your longest?"

"Mm... Good question."

"Close to it," she muttered, nipped his shoulder.

Her brain stopped. Why did she tolerate it from Trip, and only Trip? It wasn't like she felt some special way for him. After all, she was only four...

"Well, he's the only one in her age bracket," Cross reasoned. "Maybe because of that, she feels more comfortable with him about that."

He grumbled softly. "Shit. I pulled that one too close."

"Makes sense to me," Star decided, smiling at the kids.

She laughed, nipping him again. "I'm on the pill. Don't worry about it."

Yue sighed. "Thanks, Uncle Cross."

Trip smiled shyly.

She shrugged. "You pulled out quick enough that whatever went it ain't gonna be enough."

Nova smirked. "Besides, it's not like you two are doin' a little hanky-panky behind our backs."

"Nova!" Cross scolded, while Yue blushed even more.

He shrugged. "Guess I gotta take your word for it. I hate pullin' out, anyway."

Trip's eyes rounded with shock. "No way!"

"Even I hafta say 'ew' on that one, Nova."

She licked him. "Yeah, I bet. So let's get outta here and get some damn food."

"Low blow, dude," Sol said, shaking his head. "Very low."

Nova scoffed. "Point is, what's wit all the blushin' and actin' like fools, if they're just friends?"

"Nova," Mani said. "They're kids. They may be very smart, but they don't know any better. Besides, I think that-"

"Don't bring that up, Mani!" Cross interrupted.

"Sounds good." His stomach growled, and he smirked. "The snacks were great 'n' all, but I need some real food."

Trip blinked, slightly curious. Star smiled, scratching his ear. "Don't worry about it, sweetie."

She bit him, unwinding her legs from around his waist. "Yeah."

Nova sighed. "Sorry guys. Guess I'm just a little anxious."

Yue smiled. "It's okay. All that matters is that Trip and I are friends."

He turned off the water, stepped out, bringing her with him. "So, just had bad of a maze is this place?"
