She came into the room, trembling, and touched his uninjured cheek, eyes on the cut. "I can fix that," she whispered. it was an effort to keep from thinking of the body on the floor. "It's not very deep."

"Thanks." He said, looking at her. Yoko burst in.

"Shit!" He walked over to the body.

"It was self defence right?"

"Yeah. He had a knife."

Kale frowned. "The hell was that? Were they after you-" he turned to Marcus- "Or you?" He turned to Star.
"Just what the hell is going on here? If it's some sorta gang..." He grinned. "Then I'm gonna get to have some fun today."

She shivered. "Can we leave this room?"

Yoko nodded. He began to examine the body.

Marcus led Star out of the room.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." He said, putting a hand on her back suportivly.

The hedgefox frowned, turning to Yoko. "Would you kindly explain what the HELL just happened?!"

Yoko was riffling through the gang member's stuff.

"My partner and I were on a stakeout which proved successful." He said simply.

"That's... That's okay..." The hedgecat sighed. "At least you got him..."

"Watching someone die is never an easy thing." He told her.

"No, I guess not..." She sighed, running a hand through her hair.

"Mm? What is it? Any way I can help? Or kill someone? Or both?"

"Marcus." Yoko said, ignoring Kale. "Look at this." He showed MArcus a picture the goon had of Star. Marcus growled.

"Ecomentalist hitmen...." He muttered, then looked at Star.

"Looks like we're going to be seeing a lot more of eachother."

Kale frowned. "Hey! Pay attention to me! I'm good at hurting people and solving mysteries too, you know!" he whined.

Yoko looked at him flatly.

"Then go to the sherifs' office and volunteer for a deputy position."

"I'm not gonna work for the system! I do my own work. Look, do you need help or not?"

[We're perfectly clear that this is all in his slightly-based-off-of-me character, right? Not my being obnoxious through RP?]

"Listen. If you start 'doing your own work' not only are you no better than him!" He pointed to the dead man.

"But you're also a vigilante."

"The latter is true. The former..." He had to use all his willpower to stop himself from spitting on the corpse. "Not even close."

"Moral or not if you go vigilantee you'll be breaking the law you'd be trying to protect!"

"Star, I'm afriad I'm going to have to tail you for a few days at least."

"Oh yeah? What law would that be? I say my righteous attacks are self-defense, try and prove me wrong?" He frowned.
"Wait... Are you wearing a wire?"

"This is a stakeout." Yoko said.

He covered his mouth. "I didn't say anything!"

"If your going ot cover your mouth cover your mouth. If your going to speak then speak. Dont do both at the same instant."

"Oh, shut up," he said, still muffling his own voice.

Yoko laughed and walked to Marcus.

"Kale has been subdued."

He uncovered his mouth. "B-But... Whaddaya mean, 'subdued?' I haven't commited a crime!
