The cat grunted and fell over, dazed.
But a brown hedgefox dashed into the room and held Kara's arms behind her back with a smirk. "Next time try not announcing your success."

Echo got behind Kale with his sword to his neck.

"He who laughs last-"

"Laughs the hardest at the one who thinks it'll be his last." Still smirking, he hit Echo in the head with an uppercut in such a direction that he stumbled slightly forward, allowing him to duck under the blade and stand properly in front of him. "Anton! Get off your ass and grab the girl!

The cat stumbled to his feet and glared at his assailant, and then at Kara.

Frowning, Shadowin spun into the air and Homing Attacked the one holding Kara as her apprentice ducked. "Shadowin the Emerald!"

"Oh, gollyfluff!" she gasped, grinding to a halt and picking up the fallen stone.

Anton fell over again, this time falling unconscious.
Sighing, Kale rushed toward the one holding the Emerald. "I'd drop that if I were you..!"

Echo tackled Kale.

"Aah!" He fell to the floor, struggled to get the hedgehog off of him.

"Hold him, Echo!" Kala said, spinning her tails like a razor and aiming for the struggling animal's hand.

Shadowin ran forward, grabbed Kala and Echo, and shouted, "Chaos Control!" They all were warped off of the ship.

[So does it kill, hurt or hit? Like, what variation of pain shall he react to? Also I've only played SA2B, so I've only seen him in a machine... God damn I hate SEGA for that -_-']

Echo ran like hell after shadowin and kara.

"We got awaaaay!" Kara sang.

"Yes, but we still need six more," Shadowin pointed out. "Would you happen to be in possession of one, Echo?"

"Yeah, back at my hometown."

Kara blinked in surprise. "Mind lending us it?" she asked ungrammatically.

"No, Kara, it's fine." Shadowin turned her head to look at Echo. "Could we borrow it if the time comes?"

"Why do you need the emeralds?"

"To stop Nega..."

Kara interrupted. "Shadowin will go super and beat them up! Right?" Her mentor sighed.

"Sounds reasonable enough. Only one problem. The master emerald is holding it as hostage against my ransom."

"I'm sorry..." Shadowin frowned. "I don't understand."

Echo sighed.

"The master emerald ordered my emerld taken away from me until I pay the ransom price; 10 years of servitude."
