Cloud blinked at her and then he said, "Fine..." he began to walk into one of the spare rooms with a sigh.

"I'll bring her in when she wakes up..."

Sophie was having a nightmare and was having a bit of a fit in her sleep. There was an audible sigh from Cloud as he walked inside. Riku had came up and had heard the conversation, and then he came up and said, "Some guy..."

Sunny shrugged, cuddling the little girl. "Sure."

He sighed as he came up and stared at the little girl. "I hope that doesn't happen to her all the time..." he muttered before saying, "What do you think we should do about him?"

"Let him crash here for the night. I was gonna be here for taxes and crap anyway. After that, we'll see."

Riku nodded and then said, "I'll talk with Star about this...I hope that he doesn't cause us too many problems...even if he says he'll work if he needs to."

"What kinda problems could he cause?"

"Could cause us to have tax problems...maybe even lose our building...I don't even know, the guy is a fighter who liberated that girl from her parents who were going to kill her and killed them in the process. What kind of problems do you think he could cause? He might get us in trouble with the law as well!" Riku said.

She lifted a brow. "You forget how close Star is with law enforcement around here. If she says the guy isn't a threat, they won't do a thing."

Riku thought about it and said, "Yeah, I did forget that...damn it...and she's my WIFE, too!"

Sunny only shook her head. "Riku, you don't think well when stressed. We're all used to that."

he sighed and said, "Sure, I guess..."

Sunny looked at the cub, sighing. "Besides, I think any guy willing to go through all that to save his niece is a good guy."

"Sure, just as long as he really is. I don't want to find out that he isn't a good guy and have to deal with him-" he was saying before he cut himself short upon seeing Sophie begin to wake up with a loud groan.

She asked, "U-Uncle...Strife? Where are we?"

Strife? Sunny repeated to herself. Hadn't he called himself Cloud? "Hang on, doll. You're safe." But Sunny's eyes narrowed and she carried the cub into the room the fox had gone into.

He was still lying awake, unable to stop thinking about Sophie. He saw the dog, Sunny, walk in with Sophie, who was turned to him. "Uncle Strife!" she said, calling him by uncle and his last name.

"Hey, girl...looks like you're alright, now..." he said.

Sunny sat on the bed and passed Sophie to him, frowning slightly. "Strife?"

"That's my last name...my full name is Cloud E. Strife," Cloud explained, taking Sophie who snuggled into him like she was his father.

She nodded. "Okay."

"She called me Uncle Strife, right? That's why you were wondering?" he asked as he stroked Sophie's head. She was crying from her happiness to finally be safe.

"Yeah. Look, she needs to get cleaned up and I think you do, too."

"True...I do...but I can do that later...I'll give her a bath, if that's alright...she's like my own daughter, so..." he said, shrugging.

"Yeah, sure. Your family, so it's fine."

Star poked her head in, smiling. "Hi."
