His grip shifted to her hips, helping him thrust deeper into her. He had to admit, he was gonna miss this when she left.

She cried out, drawing closer to her peak.

His panting grew into grunting as he pounded away at her.

She clutched the sheets, letting herself go. "Nova!"

With one final thrust, he realsed on a loud groan.

She opened her eyes slowly, still panting. "Well...trois rooms down."

"Yeah," he said breathlessly. "...And how long... do you plan... on staying?"

"A few days." She crawled forward, then turned, smiled at him. "I think it will be enough time to leave my mark on each room."

He propped himself up on one arm, smiled back. "It's a good thing I'm not usually home, when I have my encounters." Then, a sound rang through the house, which caused him to do a double take toward the door. "Damn. He got here fast."

She lifted a brow. "'Oo?"

"I asked Cross to pick up your stuff from Embassy," he explained, slipping from the bed, and crossing over to a chest of drawers. There, he fished out a pair of boxers and a muscle shirt, and slipped them on. "I knew he wouldn't take anything not his. Besides, he owed me for savin' his check."

Aurélie smiled and rose. She wanted to meet this echidna he talked so much about. "I am going to borrow a shirt."

Nova grinned, and tossed her a large shirt. "This oughta be interestin'."

She tugged it on, smiling. "I 'ope so."

The doorbell rang again. "All right, all right! We're comin'." He paused, thought about that statement for a second, then laughed to himself. "We've been comin' all night. Oh, God, I'm horrible."

Done humoring himself, he crossed the room to the door, and held it open for Aurélie. "Madmoiselle."

Laughing, she walked past, tapped his nose. "Merci, monsieur."

He led the way back downstairs, to the front door. "You're early," he greeted the echidna on the other side.

"You caught me at a bad time," Cross responded, an annoyed look on his face.

"Why? About to get laid when I called?"

"...Shut up." His blush gave him away, however. That's when something caught his nose. After a bit of sniffing, he groaned. "At least wait until after I get here..."

"Quit moanin' Cross. We were already knee-deep in it, before I called."

Aurélie leaned against the doorjamb, smiling at the echidna. "Salut. You 'ave my things?"

Cross turned to the dog. "Yes, I do, miss..." His eyes widened as he saw who it was. He turned back to Nova, who just smirked.

Instantly, the echidna returned to his bored expression. "...Yeah. Good luck with that."

"Aurélie, this is my friend and fellow mercenary, Cross. Cross, I think, by your reaction, you know Aurélie."

"Only by reputation. There was a rumor going around that she was in town, but I didn't think..."

"Didn't think I would end up in your friend's bed?" Her smile turned wicked. It was amusing to see that he knew who she was only by looks. "Among other various locations."

"...Actually, I half-expected something like this. This guy has a penchant for 'extraordinary' women."

Nova chuckled. "That's putting it lightly. Anyway, let's get this stuff inside."

"My check," Cross said finitely, not moving from in front of them.

"Cross, it's two against one. You're in no position to make demands."

"Really?" Cross held an open palm toward his vehicle parked behind him. In the next second, his hand sparked with green electricity.

Nova raised an eyebrow. "You wouldn't..."

"Try me..."

The wolf let out an exasperated sigh. "All right! Take it easy. Don't be so serious all the time. Shit." He patted himself down, then groaned. "Wine celler. Damn! I'll be right back. Aurélie, try to play nice, okay? He's on a a short fuse, tonight." He disappeared back into the house.

"Mm..." She eyed the echidna. "So 'oo was the lucky femme Nova dragged you away from?"

"Still at home," Cross responded, showing a much more respectful posture. "Luckily, her son needed some attending to."

She smiled. "I'll assume she isn't married, though. You seem... respectable. It is... joli."

"I try. Nova says I'm stuffy, though. Probably right."
