Yue huffed. "Sheesh. Don't rush us."

"Yeah, then there's that. Shoot, it's a wonder we survived high school as we did."

He sighed. "Well, there's no point arguing with that... Unless you count losing an extremely valuable information source an argument."

"Hmm? What do you mean?"

She laughed. "I wasn't. I was asking."

He nodded. "I have always wondered something, Shine. It's highly personal."

"Oh. Well, I guess we could slip away for the moment."

"...As much as I hate to admit it - and I really, really hate to admit it - Sever's not the main target. Our mystery wolf is, and Sever's the closest to him, it seems. Getting information out of him takes priority over our desire to end his life as quickly as possible."

He closed his eyes, sighing, "Why am I not surprised...fine. We'll do what we can to capture him if we find him, but if all else fails, we will kill him. How's that, Cross?"

Trip laughed, cuddling her. "Everyone else is gone anyway," he added in undertones.

Star shook her head. "Go ahead."

He gazed into her eyes, searching them. "Are you still a virgin?"

Yue grinned. "Thanks."

She blinked, laughed. "That's all? Well, yeah. Didn't want to be bothered with the annoying thing, back in high school."

"...How about this?" His eyes grew somewhat dark. "You guys are the masters of torture, right? If all else fails, I want you to torment him. Don't hold back; make him wish he were dead, but do not grant him that wish. I don't care if you have to extend his life span with some 'red potions,' or whatever. However... Sever's life remains mine."

Smiling, Trip took her hand and led her off.

"You took that more cavalierly than I was expecting."

A dark smile crossed his face, "Cross, I have a friend who can do just that...he's quite good at making people beg for what will not come..."

Akira blinked, "Who's that?"

"Why our favorite living WMD, dear."

"Didn't know he could do that..."

"There's a lot you don't know about him..."

"Obviously."

Giggling, she went off with him. "See ya later, Nat!" she called back to her son.

He raised an eyebrow, fighting back his own dark smirk. "...Continue."

"We met him during that 'incident'. Won't go into much about him, he's rather fond of his privacy. He's one of those extreme loner types like Shadow, and he wouldn't appreciate me talking about him. Maybe you'll get a chance to meet him one of these days. Perhaps I could interest you in a jaunt around some of the worlds we visited? I know one or two that would make a nice vacation spot..."

He waved. "Bye!"

Trip smiled, making his way up the stairs to his old bedroom.

He nodded. "Very true."

Yue grinned, now keeping pace with him. "This brings back memories, huh?"

"Why do you ask, anyway? Are you?"

"Yes, you mentioned Hyrule, I think it was, being pretty beautiful. Do tell."

He smiled, glad to be off the dark subject, "Indeed it was. Though quite in the medeval period, it was peaceful, loaded with magic-

"Real magic, too, not that smoke-and-mirrors crap..." Said Akira with a grin.

"They really do have fairies as well. Great place. We set up a base there, but kept it well away from the kingdom. Didn't want to scare the folk. There's other places out there in existence. Countless worlds and races," he closed his eyes, smiling, "we've barely managed to scratch the surface..."

"Yeah." The first time he'd really kissed her had been in here. They'd first made love in here. And he'd proposed to her - entirely by accident - in here. Even their first fight - which had lasted a total of five seconds - had been in this room. And even before all of that, when she'd come over and had stayed the night, he'd held onto her and always had someone to wake up to.

He smiled. "A lot of memories."

He'd been focused on her for so long, other females hadn't even entered his mind. "Yes, I am."

She smiled warmly. "We sure came a long way from the timid fox and adventurous hedgehog we used to be, huh?"

She smirked. "Too timid, or were you just saving it for me?"

He nodded. "We've done a fair bit of space adventuring in our time as well. One system I like in particular, Lylat, I believe it was. We made friends with a mercenary team out there."

"We managed it together," he mused, sliding his arms around her.

A brow quirked. "Sex with someone else, when I knew I cared for you, would have been foolish and meaningless."

He grinned, "And they say 'Hi', too. Even if the shout-out is twenty years old." He laughed slightly. "How 'bout we take you all over there when all this BS is over and done with, eh?"

"You bet we did." Smiling, she pressed her lips to his.

She nodded. "Agreed. I just couldn't figure out how show you I cared."

"What? And miss out on the chance to show off my own craft? How do you think we got out there, to begin with? It's nothing like yours, but it can be run perfectly with just five people."

Smiling, he sank into the kiss, guiding her towards the bed.

"I see. Then it seems our combines hesitation put this off much longer than need be."

"And all our ships need now is an AI." He laughed, "The throw-aways of a Tier 0 are still millenia ahead of us."

She followed, licking at his lips.

"Yeah... Wait." She blushed. "You're not talking about...?"

"Well, the reason I say it needs five people, is because someone's gotta pilot its fighter planes. Computers are fine, but they just can't compare to good ol' fashioned flesh and blood."

He gave her a gentle squeeze before removing her shirt. He smiled, fingers running over the newly exposed fur.

"The relationship, Shine, not the physical act." His laugh came again, and he softly kissed her neck.

"Mm..." She drew his shirt up and away, lapped down his neck to his strong chest.

She laughed sheepishly, blushing brightly. There was that laugh again... "O-of course. I really need to get my mind outta the gutter."
