"Next year," Aurora decided, tail wagging. She licked Sirius's face fondly. "Don't feel bad."

"Not a one. Perhaps..." He would have to ask his mother. And take Danny with them. His eyes narrowed slightly. Taking her with them could have consequences...

They would have to find Sunny and Briggs, distract them from their hormones, and find out what to do next. Even his logic couldn't comprehend just what would be best. If bringing her along put his family in any sort of danger...

"Your friends lost."

He blinked, looked over. The band currently surging the stage was not the one he'd wanted to win, but he nodded. "Their song, while lovely, was entirely too slow to resonate with this crowd." But his sister would be sad. She wouldn't show it, but she would be.

Zavier scoffed. "Who cares? This thing's just a way to find some idiots to sucker into the system, and tear 'em apart through the media. We know we're good."

"But still," Dawn said, a little downcast. "To lose to that silly hair metal band?"

"It's like Z says," Sirius said, smiling. "Just another sucker to the system. The truly good bands-like us-can make our own way. Besides, we cleaned out better than them by almost a million."

Luna scoffed. "They pick these kind of glam-boys every year. Just a bunch of suckers that don't know any better. Anyway, what should we do next? By the sounds of things, I don't think she should go back to wherever it was she was staying. It just wouldn't feel right."

"Maybe, but we've attracted enough attention, when we attacked those two bears. If this gets rough, taking her back with us could put everyone else at risk. Still..." Shine looked at Danny, mainly those eyes. "Something's bugging me about those eyes..."

Aurora smiled, nuzzling Sirius. She really just didn't want to let him go at all.

Sirius smiled. "Looks like we came out on top, anyway. Come on." He guided the spaniel out on stage.

"Haven't been finished yet?" Shine repeated, confused. What did that mean?

Luna snapped her head back to the stage! "Hey! The Hunt got an honorable mention! Nice!"

Tail wagging, she happily went with him, bouncing with each step. Best day ever!

She smiled. "That's nice. I'm glad for them. But I haven't been finished yet. I can still have children and he says I'm not supposed to. So I need to go get finished, then I can do my job and leave him forever." Which is what she really wanted to do.

Sirius took the award, stepped up to the mic. "Thank you, everyone. This wouldn't have been possible without, first and foremost, our parents, who brought us up, and let us live our lives. Our friends and family, who supported us, and all of you guys in the crowd, and all over the country, for listening in! Thanks!" He stepped away from the mic, pumped the award in the air, to which the crowd roared for.

Luna pieced it together, eyes widened. "He's gonna make you infertile!? That's not fair! No! I can't allow that!"

Aurora smiled, tail wagging delightedly.

"Oh." She blinked, rather confused. "I'm just being finished. Should I be allowed to have children?" She'd seen babies, in person and on television. She'd always enjoyed them.

"So, how 'bout it, Hunt?" the host asked. "Give us an encore performance, why don't you?"

Sirius smiled. "We'd be happy to." And the crowd erupted again.

"Of course you should! Nobody has say over whether you can have children or not! Not even your own parents!"

"Anyone else wanna put a round through this guy's genitelia?" She asked, a scowl on her face. Shit like that wasn't right...

"Me," Shine said, a similar scowl on her face. "But I don't think she's talking about that. It almost sounds if..." She dreaded the thought. "If she's some kind of incomplete experiment."

Aurora laughed, giving the dog a kiss before grabbing the mic. "Something quick?" she asked him quietly, tail wagging.

"I only have him and everyone he thinks I should see." She gave Akira and Shine a curious look. "You shouldn't hate someone before you know them. And I'm not an experiment, I'm a morning star. Leftover." She smiled. "You're friends are going to play again. Can we listen?"

"Yeah...that statement right there? Not really helping..." She sighed and shook her head. This girl was an enigma, she knew that much at least...

She turned to Armande, eyes confused, and he sighed. "Yes, we'll listen. Akira... I suggest leaving this be for now."

Sirius nodded. "Yeah. Let's pep it up with a little 'Complex.'"

Dawn grinned. That was one of her favorites. "Let's do it! Five, six, seven, eight!" She got her drums going, and the other parts flowed in quickly.

Shine sighed. With those eyes and from what she said, whoever it was, she probably wouldn't like either way. "Okay..."

"Ooh! They're playing 'Complex!' I love this song!" Luna beamed, taking in the music.

Aurora sang her heart out, bouncing/dancing along the stage.

Danny rose, sat in the chair beside Luna. She smiled softly. "It's much faster."

Armande looked to Shine, frowning slightly. "I don't know what we should do with her."

She nodded, "Fine," sighing, she turned and walked off, "Armade, I'm going to talk to dad, he needs to know about the possibility of hostility from some old 'friends'."

The others played their greatest as well. Although Sirius had won more than he ever will again, it was nice to know they weren't leaving here empty-handed.

"Won't that be a blast?" Shine said, deadpan. She then sighed, looked back at Danny. "I'd hate to say it, but I agree with Luna. We're in too deep to just let this be. Besides, we drew first blood; they're gonna be after us regardless. At least with everyone else, we'll stand a fighting chance."

When the song finished and the crowd was going wild, Aurora tackled Sirius again, smiling.

He nodded. "then I'll need to call my own, I suppose... Stay with her, Shine. I'm sure Dad will tell everyone else."

"Tell everyone else what?"

Danny looked over at the voice, blinked when she saw the dog. Oh, no... Sunny glanced at her, did a double take. Those were some freaky ass eyes! The cat pouted, looking away. Maybe the dog wasn't who she thought it was...

Sirius grinned, keeping his balance, wrapped an arm around her, pumped the other in the air, as if victorious in something. Although, after what happened after the last song, who could argue with that?

Luna squeaked. "Sunny! Oh, um, hi," she said sheepishly. She might not take this well. "This is Danny. She's, um..."

"We've attracted trouble," Shine said, getting to the point. "Baudoins. And we think this girl's involved some way deep."

She licked his lips, smiling.

No, that was the name of the dog... "Hi," she greeted quietly. Maybe if he didn't know they'd met, he wouldn't be angry...

Armande nodded. "Yes. She isn't one, but she is involved with them in some way."

He licked back, tail wagging. Zavier and Dawn decided to join it, embracing each other, even kissing.

"Also, something about her seems, I dunno, familiar." The problem was, the familiarity froze Shine's soul in fear. She didn't want it known, but those eyes reminded her of a nightmare she used to have...

Laughing, she kissed him again. "We did great!"

"Yeah." Those eyes... "But whatever, Briggs and I saw the mess y'all made of those bears. And we ain't the only ones with eyes, so... Let's get the four of them and get out of here. Where the hell is everyone?"

"Yeah, we did." He waved at the crowd.

Zavier noticed something in the crowd, or someone. His parents were talking to Shine, Armande and Luna, along with another girl. "Dude..." he said seriously.

Sirius nodded, taking note as well. He moved back up to the mic. "Thank you, everyone! Have a safe trip back home! Good night!" He guided the dog in his arms off stage, followed by the rest of the band.

"We all had seats in the middle," Luna explained, pulling out her phone and texting the others. "But I was able to sneak one up here. Anyway, let's get going. Danny, you come too."

Aurora went along, seeing the cat. "Um... Who's that?"

"Where are we going?" she wondered, going along without argument. Now that the music was over, leaving seemed like it would be the best thing to do. She had to go and get finished.

Sunny blinked. As odd as those eyes were, she seemed... harmless. It was a baffling mix that made her wonder about the sense of uneasiness she felt. Maybe it wasn't the girl at all...

"Beats me," Zavier said. "But it looks like it's serious. C'mon."

"Back to our little convoy," Luna said, standing. "I told everyone to meet there, ASAP."

"Good enough," Briggs said. Those eyes of the cat really bothered him. It was like looking back in the past, or something... Nah, it couldn't be. She seemed too timid to be related to him. Besides, she was too young.
