PotH: Revolution (NSFW)

Pavo darted back into the room, excitement pouring from him. "Hey, I kno-" He broke off, blinked, and bolted back to Briggs and Sol. "You won't believe this!"

Sol looked up first, smirked. "Pavo. Tell us good news, kid."

"Well, two things. I know who the guy is - the coward. And the other thing, you guys have to see!" He sped out of the room again, pausing just before he reached the living room.

Sol and Briggs exchanged glances, then followed the dog back down to the living room. "Well, what is it?"

"Look." He pointed to the chair they were curled up in. Danny's fingers were curled loosely in Dart's shirt, her cheek lying over his heart, and her purr rumbling softly.

Both of them grinned wildly at the sight. This had to be immortalized. "Hey," Briggs said. "Elesis' camera's in that chair over there. Grab it."

Pavo blinked. "You know if I touch that, she'll kill me. It'll break somehow."

He flipped opened his sketch book and went to work, grinning. If the sketch turned out well, maybe he'd do a charcoal of it...

Briggs grumbled. "Scoot, kid." He moved by him, snatched the camera up, primed it for the shot.

"Make it a good one," Sol said, smirking.

"I got this, man." After a moment of adjusting, he took the photo, grinned. "One for the album." He then backed out the living room.

Pavo snorted, trying not to laugh too loudly. Dart had never been a heavy sleeper.

Dart twitched slightly, but stayed asleep.

Sol and Briggs snickered silently, looking at the picture (Elesis used a digital camera, so they could see the picture right away).

Pavo looked at it, tail wagging. It was perfect. He could use it to draw the charcoal from. He was already about finished with the sketch.

"Anyway, onto the coward. His name's Zidane. I've seen in him in a few foreign films."

Briggs looked at him incredulously. "You're kidding. An actor?"

"Nope. Stuntman. I checked an article and there are eyewitnesses who swear they saw a motorcycle literally go through him. I'd say he's our guy and that it's no surprise he's okay with working with the Laroches."

"A bike going through him?" Sol repeated. "Sounds like he has Laroche blood in him."

"A Teufel, huh?" Briggs grinned. "It'd be one helluva hand, if we can get to him."

"Yeah..." Pavo sighed, turning the page in his book. "This was his daughter... You guys... She died last week."

They both tensed. "Damn," Briggs said. "A 4-year-old, sent home in a box... Sick motherfuckers."

Damien stood outside, looking up into the air. He'd been out there for a while now, just thinking about what he had heard. Shit, just like him. He watched as one of his pelicans uncloaked and landed. Back hatch opening.

{Simultaneously}

Akira had gotten the alert that they were there. She walked over to the sleeping couple and nudged them. "Up-and-at'em, you two. We're here." The ship landed smoothly and the back hatch opened.

Pavo sighed, gazing at the sketch. "Yeah..."

Yawning, Trip nuzzled his wife. "Yue?" he murmured. "Wake up, love."

"...What about the wolf?" Sol asked. "Did you find anything?"

Yue woke with a yawn, gazed lazily up at Trip. "Oh, hey hon. Morning already?..."

"No. I recognized this guy and didn't get any more detail on the wolf than I got the first time she mentioned him. Now I have to wait until she's up."

He smiled, kissing her softly. "We're back home."

Sol sighed. "Well, it's safe to say Zidane won't be of much use to us. Even if - and that's a big "if" - we could get to him, in his emotionally distraught state..."

She blinked. "Mew?... Oh, right." She got up, stretched. "I hope everyone's all right."

"I know... Just so long as he doesn't relinquish control..."

He smiled, hugging her. "I'm sure they are. Thanks for the ride, Akira."

She nodded at them and looked out the pelican, helmet under her arm, and gave Damien a mock two-fingered salute. "Hey Dad, where's mom?"

"Dealing with a few things on the ship. I figured I ought to at least drop by and say hi to some old friends." He glanced over at Trip and Yue, "Yo. Been a while."

Trip blinked, then smiled widely. "Damien? You're not as tall as I remember."

"Then that's what we gotta hope doesn't happen. We've gotta contact him, somehow."

Yue smirked. "Well, we're much taller now, Trip."
