Zombie Bullshit

Kale screamed and tripped, more than a little started. "F-Fuck!" he cursed.

Briggs growled, furious. "We gotta take this thing down! The safehouse won't hold him!" He quickly began to unload his shotgun on the behemoth of an Infected.

Kale scrambled to his feet and took off running, firing his electrically-charged SMG over his shoulder.

The tank roars, rips out a chunk of concrete from the road, and hurls it at Briggs.

Nova gets in between Briggs and the rock, and slashes the rock clean in two with his axe, which, thanks to his abilities, has been tempered to near indestructibility, its blade lengthened as well. "Come on!" The wolf challenged the beast before him.

Briggs quickly scrambled behind one of the fallen chunks, catching his breath. He felt the pipe bomb at his hip, but decided against. It's too close-quarters to try that.

The massive creature charged, aiming a massive punch that at Nova that had the strength to fling cars and dumpsters around like toys.

"Holy- Watch out, dumbass!" Kale shouted. Why the hell is he trying to take it on one-on-one?!

When Nova barely jumped out of the way, Briggs had finished reloading his shotgun. With a growl, he charged out of his hiding spot, unloading his weapon on the Tank's exposed back.

Kale did the same with the charged SMG, firing an entire clip into it. "Just die already, for fuck's sake!" he groaned.

It roared and spun around, arm outstretched to hit Briggs.

Briggs managed to dodge the strike, but only just, having to bring up his shotgun to deflect some of the blow. He fell to the ground, a little hurt, but okay.

"God dammit, enough of this shit! I said, DIE!" Kale brandished his crowbar and charged the Tank, leaping into the air and jamming the crude metal tool into its eye socket, and sending huge voltages of electricity into it.

The abomination let out a roar and collapsed, twitching slighting from the electricity. Quite certainly dead.

As an added bonus, it fell on a car which caused it to be shoved slightly and reveal a katana.

Slightly up ahead and around the corner is a Safe Room.

As the Tank finally fell over, dead, Nova relaxed, allowed himself a smirk. "Looks like you're not completely useless."

"Coulda helped a little sooner," Briggs grunted, picking himself up again. "But okay."

"Still, I can't help we're forgetting something..." Then, both wolves' ears perked up, and both cursed. "The Horde!"

Kale's cocky grin melted into a scowl as he remembered the approaching legion of Infected. "Well, I'm out one crowbar and out of ammo for my SMG..." Suddenly he caught sight of the katana. "Excellent!" He picked it up. "Very nice... Definitely my kinda weapon. Alright, let's try and run for the safe room!"

The cries of the Horde were once more noticed, and becoming far to disturbingly loud. Some were already beginning to appear around various corners.

"That should be a better cue than any! Let's go, ladies!" He took off in a sprint straight ahead and began firing behind him with his pistol.

"Outta the way!" Pulling the pipe bomb out, Briggs tossed it down the street soon to be flooded with Infected, letting it bounce off a wall for added sound effect. "Now, we run!" Not waiting to see the fireworks, Briggs bolted up the street and around the corner to the Safe Room, Nova right on his tail.

Kale looked over his shoulder to make sure the others were following just in time to see the Infected evaporate into fine pink mist. He laughed at the sight. "Nice work, Briggs!"

Once around the corner, the Safe Room was in plain sight. Relieved, Briggs put out a burst of speed, making it to the door first, and quickly opening it. "All right, guys. Let's take five."

"Right behind ya!" He charged into the room before coming to a screeching halt, panting.

Once Nova was inside too, Briggs shut the door behind him, and sank against it with a sigh. "Damn, that was rough."

"Well, hello there. Finally nice to see someone that doesn't want to rip me apart." said the blue fox, leaning against the wall.

Kale's eyes widened. "Fuck, another survivor? Well, the more the merrier. Name's Kale."

"Call me Cruz. By the way, thanks for bringing the horde to my doorstep, I was planning on heading out in a minute."
